About Maij

In the winter of 2019, I fell in love with crystals, the powers of the universe, different meditation techniques, and mindfulness. Although I had meditated and done yoga before, 2019 marked a significant turning point for me. The energies and support the crystals gave me had a profound impact on my well-being and life.

As I began to carry my crystals with me everywhere, I realized that I wanted a more practical and beautiful way to showcase them. Carrying them around in my bra was not very comfortable or convenient. That’s when the idea for Maij and the crystal necklaces was born. With Maij, I wanted to create a way for people to carry their crystals in a way that was both functional and stylish.

My passion for pearls is deeply rooted in my love for the beach, the ocean, and summer. These elements all inspire both our pearl necklaces and our summer collection. The pearl necklace is also such a classic piece that you can wear to anything at any occasion and my love for this timeless design made me want to work with pearls.

The name Maij is a loving tribute to my little sister Maja, but also to the early arrival of summer and sunshine.
